Magical Child Playschool is a family daycare in Santa Fe, New Mexico and licensed by the State of New Mexico’s Children, Youth and Families Department. We have two groups of six 3-to-5 year olds. One group of children attends Tuesday and Thursday mornings and the other attends Wednesday and Friday mornings, 8:30am-12:30pm. I run a fall program which goes from September through May. My summer session is June, July and August. The cost is $300 a month for tuition and materials and a one-time $50 registration fee.

I celebrate childhood-its magic, delight, innocence and joy. I wholeheartedly support PLAY as an essential component of the early years and provide a warm, nurturing, safe, stimulating and age-appropriate environment. I know for sure that the preschool years lay the foundation for developing a healthy sense of self. Knowing this, I focus on contributing to each child’s sense of worth and competency. Daily, I model and teach children acceptance of their feelings and appropriate way to express themselves and communicate to others. By the time children leave for kindergarten, they have ample social and emotional skills for integrating into larger groups.

Each child who enters Magical Child Playschool is welcomed as a unique and wonderous being. S/he is given the freedom to explore, grow and learn at her/his own pace in a non-judgmental atmosphere. I believe the children will flower in this soil of acceptance and respect.
